The CD-8 and CD-13 Chamfer/Drill station is a powerful wire processing accessory that will eliminate hand labor on drilling and chamfering processes. This unit is designed to integrate with our CNC benders through one of our Intellimate robot packages. The Drilling or Chamfering unit works simultaneously with the bender operations in a highly efficient lean process that eliminates waste in WIP, movement steps and wait time.
The Chamfer/Drill station clamps the part in customized pneumatic grippers and executes the process with the highly respected Sugino Selfeed Variable Speed electric/pneumatic drive unit. This clever design features a chip collection chute that toggles position when the part is complete to act as an exit chute.
We pair this unit with a drilling head with tool breakage sensor or an adjustable hollow mill for chamfering.
